Brexit prep – deal or no deal

In a recent blog we spoke about how we’re not letting Brexit swamp our thoughts in our Leeds HQ. As a UK built and managed marketing automation platform, Force24 already has one of the biggest boxes ticked when it comes to next-step compliance – data sovereignty.

This means that, deal or no deal, our clients can rest easy that they are in safe hands when it comes to customer/prospect data. 

But in the last week alone we’ve been inundated with marketers that aren’t part of the Force24 family. And we understand their concern – it’s a time of huge uncertainty when it comes to the UK’s EU status and what’s going to happen next.

So, regardless of your political position, we thought it important to inform you of your obligations to ensure your client and customer data is stored in a safe and legal environment.

Firstly, you must understand the geographical location of where your data is currently being stored. Many USA based automation services providers have relied on the EU-US Privacy Shield to give you the assurance your data will remain safe.

However, in the event of a NO DEAL Brexit the Privacy Shield protection will most likely no longer apply, as this is an agreement between the USA and the EU. A separate agreement is in place for Switzerland, but currently NOT the UK.

Force24 offers a FULL UK infrastructure, with billing performed in £GBP, meaning you will not be exposed to currency fluctuation and your data will remain in a secure location within the UK – whatever happens!!
